Correspondences. [Ferdinand]
A fine parchment letter is addressed to the Bartlett Estate from the Corozon Family of Jacksonville, Florida. The handwritten letter is a mark of a steady hand and well polished style. As it reads.
To the Bartlett Household,
Greetings to the esteemed and well renowned Bartlett Family. I am writting in accordance of my Father's wishes as I shall be moving to Philidelphia and desire to announce my presence to the family in advance. I hope to arrive within the week of Feburary's begining. It has been quite some time, 5 years almost, and it might even be plausable that my name my have slipped from your memories, as I am assured that your household hosts many individuals. However I do remember the glorious Bartlett name and the young lady, Linnea, from the academy before my departure to my ancestoral estate. Please give my warmest regards to the family and espeically to Ms. Linnea Bartlett as I hope to discuss family matter upon my arrival.
Sincerly,
Ferdinand Corozon Jr.

When Ferdinand and Caroline arrive at Fairfield, they find two things of substance and one more ephemeral awaiting them beside the staff (if any) sent to open the home for their arrival. The first is a small bouquet of fat, full-cupped David Austin English roses, blushing peach in a small mouth-blown glass bowl. Stand close, and the faint scent of peaches seems to shimmer from the hothouse blooms. Tucked in among the roses, there is a small card:
Caroline, The winter can be so dreary. I hope these remind you of spring.
The second is a small basket of homemade breads, scones and rolls, with an assortment of homemade preserves - apple, and peach, and raspberry. In the second basket, they will find a note on crisp white linen paper, written in a clear, bold hand.
Mr. Corozon,
You cannot imagine how pleased I was to receive your correspondence of Tuesday last. I trust that your journey was not tiring and hope that these small tokens of my esteem will lift your spirits upon your arrival. Well and fondly do we remember you and your family. I must have you and your sister to dine once you are settled. Perhaps we will make a party of it - certainly our society could use some levity in these dark days.
My daughter, Linnea, has duties that keep her away from us. However, you may reach her at this number: (205) 555-4475.
You may always reach me at (205) 555-3264 or, of course, by post.
Please call me if you or your charming sister require anything, and know that you are always welcome in my home. I do so look forward to renewing our acquaintance.
Yours,
Sadie Benjamin Bartlett

One of the first things that must be done is to release his belove friend from his steel prison, allowing the Peregrine Falcon to fly forth and spread its wings in its new homestead. Flying a bit to loosen his wings. Ferdinand hated to cage the majesty creature, however the longer journey demanded it and Ferdinand spent mcuh time apologizing to his long time friend. However his attention soon returns to his sister as he moves inside while his beloved Pet finds himself free for the time being.
"Did I not tell you sister that the hearth fires would be burning brightly upon our arrival? It is by no measure cold and I am sure that the cook has something prepared for lunch."
His charming southern accent was met with a more serious, however almost equally charming touch of the dialect.
But why dear brother must we have departed in the winter. Surely we could have at the very least awaiting the blossoms of spring. It would have been a much nicer trip. As I find this cold weather quite intolerable.
"What's intolerable sweet sister is your continuous complaints." Brother Ferdinand quickly retorted. Nothing but horrible remarks since we left Father and the Sept. Please be more considerate about the undertaking we have enbarked on"
"Do not speak with such a tone to one of your elder siblings. It is quite unbecoming of your upbringing. But yes, why must we have departed the warmth of the Sept of the Sun's Bounty and Father's protection?"
He sighed heavily as it seemed that his sister not only had made a valid point upon his reactions, but more so to the fact that his sister probably would never see the point of this excusition. "Because dear sweet sister we cannot live in the shadows of our beloved Father forever. We must step out on our own and spread our wings as Albert has such done just now upon release from his steel enprisonment. I love Father dearly and Gaia keep him safe, but he will not be alive forever and we must trust that we can live without him, however distant that may possibly be."
"I guess, however why did you have to choose winter?"
"Oh cheer up Caroline, if I remember correctly the Bartlett's have a trube born named James in their household last time we where here in Philidelphia. Maybe you make a good impression Ms. Bartlett and Father can arrange something, that is if he is not already promised to one of the Delacourts or whatnot."
And with that Ferdinand takes a biscuit from the gift basket, makling a mental note to contact both Ms. Bartlett and Linnea, as he steps through the aptio doors to the large field out back, whistling to his beloved friend to see if he has found and sport.
